Community engagement

Phosboucraa contributes to improve the living conditions of its employees and their families (including through education) and to the socio-economic development of the broader local community. This contribution takes three main forms:

  • Programs providing social benefits to Phosboucraa employees (and retirees) and their families
  • Programs providing social benefits to the wider community
  • Capital investments in facilities and infrastructure providing benefits to Phosboucraa employees and their families as well as to the wider community

Phosboucraa applies the same policies as OCP in all of its mining and industrial operations. Social benefits provided by Phosboucraa to all of its employees and their families and to the wider community include:

Education

Institut Professionnel Socio-Éducatif (IPSE) - Pre-school and primary school built for children of Phosboucraa employees is also open to the wider local community (with a capacity of 1,000 students).

The development provides 472 apartments accommodating employees and their family members, as well as common facilities, including a medical center, hammam, cultural center, restaurants and outdoor green spaces. The total amount invested is MAD 277 Million.
