Saharan agriculture and environment preservation

The Saharan Agriculture Program pursued its goal of designing and implementing integrated pilot actions and economic and social development in the agricultural sector with the perspective of generating prosperity, creating jobs, and contributing to food security in the three Southern Regions.
These agricultural development opportunities are what the Foundation seeks to promote to improve living conditions and income for small farmers, and to promote agricultural to its maximum potential.

  • Promotion of better agricultural practices and animal husbandry and greater respect for the environment, as well as providing support to farmers for the improvement of their income and living conditions.
  • Development of the value chain of agricultural subsidiaries and regional products, adapted to the Saharan agro-ecological context.
  • Development of strategic partners in Morocco internationally based on logical and sustainable Saharan agriculture, and the promotion of the Coopération Sud-Sud (South-South Cooperation) based on Saharan agriculture and food security.
  • Logical management of natural resources including rain water, agricultural land, and the development of bio-saline agriculture and biodiversity.
